Optimistic Oracle
An oracle system that accepts data as true by default, unless challenged within a specific dispute window.
The Verified Resource Delivery initiative uses Optimistic Oracles. When a VRDI is minted (claiming delivery), it is assumed true unless someone stakes a bond to dispute it. This balances speed (most deliveries are honest) with security (fraud is caught and punished). Disputes are resolved by a decentralized jury.
